Inspired by a Coma Inducer® customer (Stephanie B. from Irvine, KY) who is a registered nurse working the nightshift. Stephanie messaged to tell us that, after dealing with so much stress, heartache, and pain, at the end of the day she just wants to go "snuggle up" and the Coma Inducer® provides her much needed soothing plush comfort.

Stephanie's message was inspirational, causing us to create a Coma Inducer® that paid homage and gave thanks to frontline medical workers. We asked Stephanie to name such a Coma Inducer® and her suggested name, Nightingale was the perfect fit. Kind of a dual meaning, first after Florence Nightingale (deemed the founder of nursing) and second having the word 'Night' in the name to represent those who sacrifice a normal schedule to provide care during the darkest hours. Next, we considered a Caduceus symbol or something else to signify nursing or medical care as a respectful thank you to caregivers, but then we realized that wouldn't make sense. You see, nurses and other medical professionals just quietly do what they do. Which is why an understated 'thank you' by simply using the name Nightingale is all this Coma Inducer® needed to show our love for the selfless medical community.
